because this assignment is more about team work more than anything it is important that people show up and send each other the needed work so we can still get on with everything if someone is 'ill' for example. also i feel that putting people who don't show up as often into one group is going to be a bad idea from the start.

when creating our first video we used the a flip camera 

after uploading and viewing our video we felt the video quality was not up to scratch so for our next video we went on to use the canon 550D which was much better. 

in my group i am the lighting technician, i look into studio light and ambient lighting.

light drawings

This morning we went into the studio to do light drawings. we tried doing '2's in many colors and thicknesses to see which was more effective, in my opinion the thick multi colored '2' was the most effective and stud out a lot more. we also did the letter 'B', 'B' and 'C' so that we can layer them all together at a later date. we also tried making a flash and adding a small amount of light so that the drawer was visible, even though we did manage to do this i feel it didnt look very good and we are better off with our dark background.

Our 1st video.

Here is a quick idea we came up with in the dark room when creating some number 2 light drawings. The video is set in a studio, its right at the end of the day and a guy is just leaving, he turns the light off and you the number 2 is lit up. i think the video is quite good but could be improved by making the 2 appear from no where and by using a better quality camera

place the camera at the bottom of a ramp and get the skater to tail stall on top of it. put a number 2 on the bottom of the skateboard so when he tale stalls you can see the 2.

Introduction

In this assignment we are asked to work as a group to create and film a new BBC 2 'ident'. each member will have a different role to fulfill, which are cameraman, lighting technician, set designer, prop stylist and editor.  Although we all have different roles we must also be very involved with every stage of the production. We must also develop our own ideas to discuss within our group.
